YMCA Expands Academic Preschool in Hazlet
Y Preschool and Kindertime Programs Offered in Hazlet/Holmdel Community
Hazlet, NJ (July 16, 2012) – As part of their commitment to youth development and helping kids of all ages learn, grow and thrive, The Community YMCA is pleased to introduce an enriching Academic Preschool Program for kids ages 2 ½ to 5 at Cove Road School in Hazlet.
The Y is dedicated to developing the full potential of area youth. For over 40 years, the Y has been providing safe, nurturing and academically challenging preschool and school-age programs for families in Monmouth County. Y preschool provides the values and skills that are vital building blocks to a child’s success in school. Children develop academically, socially and physically through engaging, academic and age-appropriate activities, all while making learning fun.
“We’re so pleased to be able to provide our academic preschool program at Cove Road School in Hazlet,” said Rose Mary Mintz, Vice President of Child Achievement at The Community YMCA. “Our programs are designed to encourage children’s early learning and support parents with a safe and enriching place for their children to grow academically and socially.”
Y preschool programs are also offered at the Y’s Children’s Achievement Center in Matawan, Hillside Community Center in Middletown and within the Red Bank Public School district.
In addition to academic preschool, the Y offers a wrap-around Preschool Enrichment Program for children enrolled in Hazlet’s ½ day preschool program, and a Kindertime Enrichment Program in the morning and afternoon for kids ages 5 and 6, to serve the Holmdel Community with a supplement to their ½ day kindergarten program for children enrolled at Holmdel Village School. Y Kindertime is designed to further develop a child’s socialization and early learning skills, and enhance the learning taking place in the school district’s ½ day classes.
