- Flexible working hours must be available between the hours of 2:30pm to 5pm.
- Responsible for the preparation and implementation of their program.
- Have the educational background and/or professional experience to teach the program.
- Must provide up to date, field specialized / state certification that corresponds with the desired position.
- Maintain valid certifications at all times
- Have experience working with children and adults.
- Prepare and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities for their program/class.
- Be able to multi-task, show initiative and require minimal supervision.
- Have an outgoing and enthusiastic attitude.
- Set up class space, clean up after class, and store materials properly.
- Monitor the safety of all activities.
- Assist with evaluating the program’s success.
- Comply with The Community YMCA’s Code of Conduct
- Reliable Transportation
Trainings and Staff Meetings:
The Instructor is to attend all mandatory trainings and staff meetings. (i.e. New Staff Orientation, Child Abuse Prevention, etc.) within the required time frame.
