- This class is designed for a parent and child to learn and have fun in the water together. It combines exercise and basic water skills, plus safety skills for parents.Children under the age of 3 if not toilet trained need to wear a disposable swim diaper AND rubber pants under their bathing suit. Swimmers with long hair must wear a bathing cap or have their hair in a rubber band to keep the hair out of their face.

004-Swim With Me (Ages: 3-6 Years Old w/Parent)

Ages 3 - 6
- Swim with Me is a parent/child class for children who have had two or more previous sessions of water adjustment lessons, are reluctant to enter the water or be submerged, require floatation support all the time, or may beniftit from parental presence and support in the water. Children learn basic arm and leg movements with parents participation. Children under the age of 3 and older if not toilet trained need to wear a disposable swim diaper AND rubber pants under their bathing suit. Swimmers with long hair must wear a bathing cap or have their hair in a rubber band to keep the hair out of their face.

01-Pike

- Students will learn elementary skills that they will build upon as
they progress through each level of our swim lesson curriculum.
They will begin to develop positive attitudes and safe practices
around the water. successful completion of this level will include
Face submersion for five seconds, safely enter and exit the water
unassisted, assisted front float with face in water for five seconds,
assisted back float for 20 seconds, paddle stroke 10 yards front
and back with flotation, alternating flutter kick and jumping into the
pool and returning to the side with flotation.

02-Eel

Ages 3 - 5
- Students learn to float on front and back without assistance and
recover to a vertical position and learn how to swim unassisted on
front and back using alternating arm and leg movements. successful
completion of this level will include the ability to roll from front to
back and back to front, maintaining each position for five seconds,
sitting dive, swim unassisted on front with face submersion for 15
feet and swim unassisted on back for 15 feet.

03-Ray 1

- students will learn rhythmic breathing, rotary breathing and
treading water. Kicking technique, "over" arm stroke recovery and
kneeling dives will be introduced. successful completion of this level
will include the ability to consistently swim on front with face in the
water with rhythmic breathing and "over" arm recovery for 25 feet,
backstroke with "over" arm recovery for 25 feet, symmetrical and
side alternating paddle for feet yards and kneeling dive.

04-Ray 2

- Students will improve rhythmic breathing, rotary breathing and
treading water in addition to their kicking technique, over arm
stroke recovery and kneeling dives introduced in ray 1. successful
completion of this level will include the ability to swim on front with
face in the water with rhythmic breathing, over arm recovery for
20 feet, backstroke with over arm recovery for 20 yards,
symmetrical and side alternating paddle for 20 yards and kneeling
dive.

05-Starfish

Ages 3 - 5
- students be introduced to basic swimming and safety skills while
learning to properly coordinate strokes for freestyle and backstroke.
elementary backstroke, butterfly dolphin kick and standing dives will
be introduced. successful completion of this level will include the
ability to coordinated strokes for freestyle and backstroke 25 yards
(1 length of Bodman Pool), tread water for thirty seconds and
perform a standing dive from deck of pool.

06-Polliwog 1 (Ages 6 and Up)

Ages 6 - 8
- Students learn how to float on their front and back without
assistance and are introduced to arm and leg movements.
successful completion of this level will include face submersion for
five seconds, safely enter and exit the water, front and back float
for 1 minute, front alternating paddle with rhythmic breathing for
40 feet, back, symmetrical and side paddle for 40 feet and jump
into deep water without assistance then paddle 15 feet, back float
10 seconds and return to the wall without assistance.

07-Polliwog 2 (Ages 6 and Up)

- Students continue to work on Polliwog skills and build on
elementary swimming skills. successful completion of this level will
include the ability to submerge face for ten seconds, front and back
float for 1 minute, front alternating paddle with rhythmic breathing
for 25 yards, back, symmetrical and side paddle for 25 yards, and jump into deep water without assistance, paddle 20 feet and back
float 10 seconds and return to the wall without assistance.

08-Youth Beginner Swim Lessons (Ages: 9-12)

Ages 9 - 12
- This 45-minute class will help your child gain confidence in the
water. This class is designed to teach ?tween? non-swimmers to
swim. skills taught in Polliwog through Guppy group lessons will be
taught in a small, age-appropriate swim group. Goggles are
recommended to help make underwater adjustment easier.

09-Guppy (Ages: 6 and Up)

- Successful completion of Polliwog 1 & 2 is required for this level.
Students learn rhythmic breathing, rotary breathing and treading water. Kicking techniques, "over" arm stroke recovery and kneeling dives will be introduced. Successful completion of this level will include the ability to swim on front with face in the water, rhythmic breathing with "over" arm recovery for 30 feet, backstroek with "over" arm recivery for 10 yards and kneeling diving.

10-Minnow (Ages: 6 and Up)

Ages 6 - 12
- Students learn to properly coordinate strokes for freestyle and backstroke. Elementary backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly dolphin kick are introduced. Standing dives will also be introduced. Successful completion of this level will include the ability to consistently coordinated strokes for freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke for 25 yards, tread water for 1 minute with effective kick and perform a standing dive from deck of pool.

11-Fish (Ages: 6 and Up)

Ages 6 - 15
- Students improve their skills and endurance by swimming freestyle, backstroke, and elementary backstroke for greater distance. Butterfly and breaststroke are introduced. Successful completion of this level will include the ability to coordinated stroke for freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke for 50 yards, demonstrate elements of butterfly and elementary backstroke for 25 yards.

12-Flying Fish ( Ages: 6 and Up)

- Students refine their performance of all 4 major strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle) and increase their distances. Successful completion of this level will include the ability to coordinated strokes in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle
swim 100 yards individual medley, perform a standing dive from diving block, freestyle and backstroke flip turns and tread water for six minutes.

13-Shark (Ages: 6 and Up)

- Students work to refine the 4 competitive strokes in order to swim with more ease, efficiency, power and for greater distance. Successful completion of this level will include the ability to swim individual medley 200 yards.

20.1-Make Your Own Class

- This class is perfect for families or friends who want their children to participate in the same class but cannot find a class that fits their schedule or with availability. Participants should be at the same swim level. Privce is for eight, 30-minute sessions, class size up to 4 participants and need to be paid in full at the time of booking. 21-Mini Competitive Stroke Part 1 (Ages: 5 & 6)

Ages 5 - 6
- This 45 - minute class will focus on basic swim team fundamentals, skill improvement, exercise, and competitive techniques. When all skills are accomplished in Part 1, swimmers will be moved up to Part 2 at no additional cost during the session. Must be able to swim 50 yards of front and back crawl with open turns, swim 25 yards of breaststroke and kick 25 yards of butterfly prior to class enrollment. Class is limited to 10 participants.

22-Mini Competitive Stroke Part 2 (Ages: 7 & 8)

- This 45 - minute class will focus on advanced swim team fundamentals, skill improvement, exercise, and competitive techniques. Must be able to swim 100 yards of front and back crawl with open turns, swim 25 yards of breaststroke and 25 yards butterfly prior to class enrollment. Class is limited to 10 participants

23-Competitive Stroke Part 1 (Ages: 8 - 11)

- A 60-minute course for the student that has completed the shark
level swim lesson and is looking to continue in competitive stroke.
The emphasis of this program is on competitive swim technique with
some emphasis on endurance.

24-Competitive Stroke Part 2 (Ages: 12 - 17)

- A 60-minute class for the student that has completed Competitive
stroke Part 1 and wishes to continue in stroke development. The
emphasis of this program is on competitive swim technique with an
emphasis on endurance.

26-Jump Right In for Youngsters (Ages: 3-6 w/Parent)

- This aquatics class is designed for little splashers with special needs and their parent / caretaker. Children will have the opportunity to explore the water as a therapeutic medium for strengthening weal muscles, normalizing muscle tone, providing senory input, stretching tight muscles, motor planning and body in space awareness, and more. A doctor's note starting that your child is able to participate in an aquatic class is required before entering the water in the first class.

27- "Look, I'm Swimming" (Ages: 6-10 w/Parent)

- This class helps special needs children progress at their own rate in a social atmosphere. Independent swimming with or without a float of some kind is the long-term goal. Comfort with their bodies in the water while working on imprtant terapeutic components is the promary short-term goal. Parents / caregivers are required to assist in water during class. A doctor's note stating that you child is able to participate in an aquatic class is required before entering the water in the first class.
